Description

Loafer Mule

A modern reinterpretation of two icons- the loafer and the mule. Hongdae is crafted in structured leather, balanced on a block heel, and finished with a chunky yet ultra-flexible Argentinian leather sole. Left completely undyed, the Argentinian leather retains its natural pinkish tone, an intentional detail that sets the shoe apart with a subtle, striking contrast.

Just like its namesake neighbourhood, Hongdae is made for city pace and creative living. Busy streets, coffee runs, gallery visits and everyday adventures.

Each pair is entirely handmade in New Delhi by master artisans. Slash in Brackets proudly supports responsible leather tanning through the Leather Working Group.

Material

Upper: supple full grain calfskin, oiled for lasting patina

Lining: soft breathable drum-dyed calfskin

Footbed: high density latex cushioning for added comfort

Outsole : handcrafted from high grade Argentinian calf skin, naturally finished.

Heel height: 1.25 inches

Care

Our leathers are natural and minimally finished, chosen for how they will evolve with time. Wipe softly with a dry cloth after wear. Buff gently for a quiet sheen. Keep away from direct heat, sunlight, and moisture. If wet, blot carefully and allow to dry slowly at room temperature. When not in use, store them in their dust bags and allow them to rest between wears.
